Frequently Asked Questions
What are the SPG Scenarios?
The Strategic Planning Group’s Scenarios are individual units discussing specific financial/economic contingencies. In other words, they are war games, analyzing specific contingent possibilities, such as dollar hyperinflation; the collapse of the eurozone; the need to exit America in the face of an emergency; the possibility of another Oil Shock.
Each Scenario analyzes each contingency—then gives a recommendation of how to proceed, in order to simultaneously protect yourself, and gain the maximum advantage from any given situation.
How often do Supplements come out?
Every week. Supplements are what the name implies: Useful additions that can help you make sense of things. They are usually short, to the point, and give actionable perspectives on what’s going on today.
And the web seminars?
Every Sunday, there is The Week In Words: A live web seminar with GL, where he discusses what has happened in the past week, and how it ties into one of the Scenarios. In The Week In Words, SPG Members can ask questions and make comments, and discuss the current situation not only with GL, but with his guests as well.
The Week In Words is posted as a recording, usually the next day—available exclusively to SPG Members.
Do I have to pay extra for the web seminars?
No—of course not: Once you’re an SPG member, all areas, events, special guest speakers and web seminars are free. Some events will have limited spots, so it’s first-come-first-served.
What if I miss a live event?
As the great Douglas Adams used to say, Don’t panic! A recording of all live events and web seminars will be posted within five days. You’ll find it in the Supplements section.
What about The Lounge—how do I join?
As an SPG member, you’re already in. You can join the discussions at The Lounge forum whenever you like, and post whatever you like. You can also send private messages to other members, start new discussions, or comment on anything and everything—the more the merrier.
Are comments in The Lounge purged or vetted?
So long as a comment is not blatantly obscene—or blatant advertising—members can say and do whatever they like.
Does SPG or GL advertise or endorse any product?
As a matter of principle, neither SPG nor GL advertise or endorse any product or service on the site, or in the The Lounge discussion forum. That way, everything published here is disinterested, and unswayed by any vested interest.
Can I cancel my membership?
Whenever you wish. Just go to your Account settings and cancel at any time. You can also change your billing and other information.
What if I have a problem logging in?
Contact support@liraspg.com, and we’ll straighten it out for you.
Finally, what’s the name of the black swan in the picture?
Fred.
